Colon Health the Key to a Vibrant Life

By Elizabeth Mansur

Your body is the house in which you live. By Analogy, it is just like the building in which you make your home.
Your home needs, at the very least, periodical attention, otherwise the roof may leak, the plumbing may get out of order and clog up, termites will drill through the floors and the walls, and other innumerable cases of deterioration will make their appearance. Such is the case with you physical body. Every function and activity of your system, day and night, physical, mental, and spiritual, is dependent on the attention you give to it. The kind of quality of food you put into your body is of vital importance to every phase of your existence. Good nutrition not only regenerates and rebuilds body, but also is involved in the processes by which the waste matter, the undigested food, is eliminated from your body to prevent corruption in the form of fermentation and putrefaction. This corruption, if retained and allowed to accumulate in the body, prevents any possibility of attaining any degree of vibrant health.Dr. Norman Walker studied the mysterious and miraculous manner by which certain areas of the colon are both directly and indirectly related to the various organs and glands throughout the anatomy.  What could a pimple have to do with the colon? What does eye, ear, or throat trouble have to do with the colon? How can the colon possibly have anything to do with the head, the feet, the heart or the glands? When there is a disturbance in any particular areas of the colon, we can tell in which part of the anatomy and affliction is present, or likely to appear.
I use to work on my clients feet to relieve constipation, headache, stress and many other physical ailments using Reflexology. Example; the center of the sole of each foot corresponds to the midriff and especially to the colon. By applying finger pressure to points in the area I can tell when the client indicates a sharp pain, when this happens, it is an indication that uric acid crystals have accumulated in that spot on the foot, and the pressure causes the sharp points of these uric acid to penetrate the nerves, resulting in painful reaction.  It is a matter of fact that constipation is the number one affliction underlying nearly every ailment: it can be imputed to be the initial, primary cause of nearly every disturbance of the human system.
One cause is refined foods which fail to nourish the organs responsible for the evacuation of waste matter, the other is neglecting to stop everything we are doing when the urge to evacuate. Nature is a strict task-master: it gives one waning – sometimes two. You obey – or else. That “or else,” is the insidious path to constipation.

Pay attention to your body, be kind to it and make sure you provide it with the highest octane fuel  - it needs to function properly to last a life time.

To your Health and Wellness,

Travel Tips by Joan, The Travel Lady

In 2002 my husband became ill in Bolivia.  Good Bye Lake Titicaca!  While I had to submit extensive documentation to the travel insurance company, we did get reimbursed for the medical expense incurred and the cost of getting home.

Basic Travel Insurance plans include reimbursement should your trip be interrupted or cancelled because of the death, illness or injury.   Other features include reimbursement for Trip Delay, Medical Expenses, Lost/Stolen or Damaged Baggage, Travel Accident Protection & Worldwide Emergency Assistance.  Gold and Silver plans have additional coverage at a higher cost.

Insurance and protection plans offered by insurance companies provide for cash reimbursement. Some tour company packages offer vouchers for future travel instead.

When should you purchase Travel Insurance?

ALWAYS,,,,,,, when embarking on a cruise, a long or expensive journey, or traveling outside USA. Becoming ill on a cruise ship can be devastatingly expensive if a helicopter evacuation is required. $25,000 coverage is offered on most cruise policies. Rearranging flights home from distant lands can be costly in the event of illness or death of a family member.

Cost? One example: Travel insurance for 2 people in Hawaii for one week was $90. Basic plans cost 4.5%-6% of the cost of the trip.

Travel Insurance is offered by Travel Guard on my web site JoansTravelAdventures.com

All flight and hotel packages booked on my web site include the opportunity to purchase Travel Protection when booking the travel package.

A friend broke his leg the day before a family vacation to France. While in the hospital recovering, he cancelled his flights and began the fight for reimbursement.  He now purchases travel insurance every time.
